This is an accountancy practice that really values their staff, the Partners take the time to get to know their employees; every person is important – nobody is taken for granted and everyone has a voice.
The firm boats excellent staff retention; with this role only available because the current Payroll Senior is taking retirement. This means they will be available for an extended hand over – where you will work closely with them whilst getting to grips with how the payroll is run.
There is plenty to like about this opportunity; including the chance to really put your own stamp on the role; in fact the partners would like a fresh set of eyes to look over how things are being done – and they have already said they will support any changes or improvements that need to be made.
That doesn’t mean the payroll process needs changing…. it’s running absolutely fine at the moment. But it does mean if you come with ideas and suggestions – you will be listened to and backed to make any positive changes.
Day to day you will be managing multiple payrolls from setting up new starters through to processing year end – most of which have been with the firm for years so there are some great working relationships already in place. The role will be busy and varied, and it’s that variety that will keep the job exciting and interesting for any experienced payrollers.
Alongside your day to day duties you will be overseeing one junior payroller – and there is plenty of additional cover across the business for when you are out of the office.
