This is a cash-rich, highly-profitable business on an upwards trajectory- and they want a bookkeeper who can bring new energy & new ideas to do this! With a whopping 20% bonus added on to your salary for your contribution to the business.
The accountants know the business inside and out, they’re also local and will often pop in for a brew, will sit with you and thrash out any ideas or discuss any discrepancies you may have spotted!
The plan for the next 12 months is to rely less and less on the accountants therefore getting stuck into month-end and management accounting is up for grabs – literally, this is yours to take complete ownership of.
One thing is for sure – they’ve never gotten “too big for their boots” and despite enjoying year-on-year growth for the last 5 years, have maintained an incredibly tight-knit workforce where everyone is valued and looked after by the Directors.
An absolute pre-requisite is an individual who knows Xero inside out – they’ve just been through a migration and are still in the final stages of ensuring all processes are running smoothly on the new system therefore I’ll only be interviewing those who can demonstrate a working knowledge of Xero.
As mentioned, a bonus of up to 20% of your salary is on offer once your probation is passed – and this is paid monthly to ensure a nice little top up in every pay packet on top of your base salary – something that’s not often seen in finance!
As well as this, the company are completely laidback and flexible; they need someone who can commit to a full-time working week but can accommodate start times between 8-10 and finish times between 4-6.
