This business is seeking their future finance leader, coming in as the Senior Management Accountant to gain total knowledge of the Group accounts and structure, then once totally confident, they want you to take over responsibility as FC.
To lay the foundation for you to take this step, initially you will…
- Lead the management accounts production, overseeing the work of 2 x AMAs, then finalising the pack for submission to the Directors.
- Manage the AMAs, lead on their development, mentoring and training.
- Full involvement in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Once all of the above is nailed, you’ll assume the position of FC and take over…
- Leading Group consolidation of the management accounts.
- Leading the annual budgeting process as well as all int/exter reporting requirements.
- Leading the external audit, acting as liaison and POC for all queries / requirements.
- Leading on stakeholder engagement, Board-level presentation and strategic projects.
The massive sell here is, the timings on making this career transition to FC are totally dependent on you. So if you come in and totally integrate, fully understand the complexities of the accounts and prove you’re ready for the next step, there’s no reason why in the next 12months you won’t become the FC.
