Today I met the Finance Director of a new business that has doubled its turnover with 2 years and I was impressed with his flexible outlook and aspirations for his team and business.
This is an brand new opportunity that would suit a self-motivated, resourceful and confident all-round Management Accountant who enjoys getting stuck into the financial aspect of the business and making positive changes and improvements. You have a rare opportunity to put your own mark on a role that will inevitably grow in responsibility and seniority with a short space of time.
Duties and Key Responsibilities include:
- Production of the monthly management packs including commentary and analysis to highlight issues and improvements
- Preparing the monthly supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- Taking charge of the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Preparing the year-end figures for the statutory accounts
- Analysing performance in relation to budgets
- Production of weekly flash figures for the businesses
- Putting in robust controls and systems for cost control as the business expands
- Controlling business costs and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
- Authorisation of the weekly and monthly staff payroll
- Ongoing maintenance of accurate financial records
- Monitoring cash flows for the businesses where necessary
