The owner of this firm is looking to hire an experienced individual that can operate as her ‘number 2’…..still involved in the day-to-day accounts but operating as the manager across the team.

Currently a team of 8 the firm has plans to grow; and with a recent full renovation of their offices this appointment is the latest step in improving on the brilliant business they already have.
You wont be micro managed, accountable to shareholders or have to navigate red tape every day – it’s the complete opposite the firm prides itself on everyone pulling in the same direction, supporting each other and working to a common goal of ensuring that the clients are treated right….while ensuring the firm is a place people enjoy turning up to every day.

The role:
This will be a mixed role…but there is the opportunity to shape it slightly to favour the areas you enjoy the most. As the Senior naturally you will be focusing on the firms key clients, producing the year end and management accounts. You will lead and mentor the apprentice and trainees, and provide a support function and sounding board for the more experienced team members.
You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas and suggestion to the table, the owner is a big believer in the team having an input on how the business is run and where they make changes.
Experience needed:
To be considered you must have previous experience in a UK firm of accountants – we are not considering applications from industry. You will be looking for a firm where you can have a long term future, and you will bring a positive and hard working mentality.
Additional Information:
This role will predominantly be based in their Bolton office with free parking on site. You will be required to do some occasional travelling to their Garstang office (although this will be limited).
