The following opportunity is perfect for an individual who has used Sage, loves working on Sage and more importantly, wants to be the go-to person in the business for all Sage related training and questions.
The only experience you need for this role is experience in processing invoices or preparing payments using Sage – the business will then send you on seminars and pay for training courses for you to become certified and then be in the position to share your knowledge with the rest of the team & any new starters.
Typically you will manage all the day to day transactional finance – whether that be purchase or sales ledger – and once you have mastered this, there will be the opportunity to take on more complex responsibilities utilising Sage bolt-ons which you will learn in your training sessions.
The FD openly told me he uses the package daily but feels there’s so much more information they could get from the functionalities of Sage that he doesn’t have experience in – so you will be given the opportunity to obtain this and share with the rest of the business in order to make the most of the software.
The reason it’s so important you have this is experience is because they are bringing one of their previously outsourced entities in house; it has been managed by the external accountants on Sage and they will need an individual in-house to take this on and run with it.
As well as the paid training courses you will attend, there is also the option of studying for your AAT Qualification as this is a business where they do encourage progression & personal development across all departments.
The business is based in Central Manchester with offices just a 2-minute walk from St. Peter’s Square tram stop.
