The following opportunity is available due to a maternity contract, giving you the chance to utilise your Purchase Ledger experience in a relaxed, friendly environment – with no pressure or stress.
You will join 2 others in Purchase Ledger so whilst you will have your own portfolio of suppliers to manage, you will never feel bogged down with invoicing or overworked trying to clear payment runs on time as you will have the support of the rest of your team.
Unlike many contract roles where you’d be brought in to clear a backlog or cover for busy periods, you are being brought into take on the workload of a member of staff who has been with the business for years and will leave her ledger clean and tidy with no errors – so you’re not going to be fighting fires on day one and fielding calls from disgruntled suppliers as she will leave everything in order.
She starts her maternity leave at the end of Feb 2022 so it’s essential her replacement is in situ ideally 2 weeks before to have a thorough handover of work.
There is a high possibility the role will be made permanent as the company is growing so more work will be created; however, this cannot be guaranteed. The experience will set you up perfectly for applying for other roles once the contract is up as they’re a very reputable, well-known brand with an excellent reputation in the market – so their name will look great on your CV.
