One of Manchester’s leading property companies has expanded into investment & development following a listing on the London Stock Exchange.
This warrants the need for an Assistant Accountant to produce the management accounts for the entity, forecasting £5m turnover in year 1.
The company is spearheaded by a board of individuals who are entrepreneurial and ambitious – they are only in their early 30s – so will always encourage and back employees who want to strive to become leaders, CEOs and Directors – the sky is the limit at the business!
It is essential you are from a construction or property development background as you will be managing a portfolio of sub-contractors; managing the CIS returns and the budget for each development alongside an industry-leading Director who has been appointed to lead the entity.
You will be responsible for producing full sets of management accounts with analysis on costings for each development, managing the budget & financial forecasting and discussing this in monthly meetings with the Board of Directors.
Don’t be fooled into thinking they’re looking for an all-singing, all-dancing management accountant; this is a development role where you will receive one to one support on a daily basis.
As you develop and the entity grows, you will be able to give the green light on when you feel you need an assistant to support you; the Directors will allow you to help with recruiting an Accounts Assistant to free you of the transactional accounting and allow you to concentrate on more complex duties.
The role is perfect for an individual who is AAT Qualified or ACCA/ CIMA Part Qualified and wants support in progressing to the next phase of their career; the Finance Director is qualified and thoroughly encourages academia so will happily fund your qualification for you; offering workshops and classes during working hours to help you pass each exam.
