If you’re a Semi Senior Accountant looking to make your first move into industry, this is the opportunity to grab with both hands.
Working for a PLC listed on the London Stock Exchange, this role lends itself perfect to an individual who understands statutory accounting and tax but wants to transition into management accounting.
You will still utilise the skills you’ve built up as the work you do will feed into the Group accounts which the FD consolidates however your focus will switch into looking at budgets, cash flows and revenue streaming – to which you’ll have complete insight into across the entire business.
The FD is top-four trained, and this too was his first industry role, so he is the very best person in the market to help you make this move and ensure the transition runs smoothly and you get as much from your training as possible.
The work you do and the ideas you suggest will be discussed in Board Meetings which you will attend alongside the three Company Directors and external stakeholders – so this really is a position where you need to be pro-active, self-motivated, and able to use your initiatives as you will be called upon for your inputs.
There is no obligation to be qualified already, in fact this role would suit a Part Qualified Accountant who is working their way through ACCA as the business are happy to fund the rest of your qualification. Once you have completed this, there is a guarantee of promotion into a more senior role once your papers have been signed out as a post-qualification development plan has been specifically created for the whole finance team – and this will be written into your contract.
