Due to its continuing success and investment promise, this UK based business that enjoys success in over 17 countries has created a brand-new role and is looking to offer an experienced Financial Controller with a commercial outlook the opportunity to for part of the senior leadership team and work alongside the CFO and board in driving the business to the next level in its success story.
This Financial Controller role is pivotal in ensuring the business’ continued success and will see you providing financial support to the CEO for board meetings, commentary on performance against forecasts as part of the monthly board pack to key stakeholders, board and investors. You will ensure financial budgets are updated on a rolling basis along with working collaboratively with team managers to forecast spending and set appropriate budgets will be key. In conjunction with the CEO, you will use data analysis to create revenue and pricing models to assess long-term financial trends and review opportunities for future growth of income, and revenue from new product areas and investment needs.
Along with all of this and much, much more you will also be responsible for managing and coaching a small finance team with a focus on succession planning and development. As this role has been newly created you will not have to pick up where anyone else has left off, trying the understand their logic; this role will allow you to write your own job description and alongside the CFO create a role that suits you and the business.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced, highly analytical, and technically competent Financial Controller. You will work closely with and report to our CFO & CEO, and work closely with other team leaders, who are also very hands-on in the business. You should be a great communicator, friendly and approachable with eh ability to build meaningful relationships which are based on mutual trust.
