An exceptional city centre opportunity for a Financial Controller looking for increased responsibility, under a vastly accomplished Group Finance Director, looking to exit the business within the next 2 years offering you their role should you excel in the business.
The business operates a complex group structure comprised of 10 divisions, with a combined group t/o of £85million, with finance managed by a central team of 10 skilled accountants, a team you will inherit and lead.
The premise of bringing you into the business, into this newly created role, is to develop your skill-set into that of a Finance Director ahead of your promotion.
The FD is retiring in the next 2 years, he wants to personally mentor his replacement to totally understand the intricacies of the business, the regulations and their 5 year plan so that when he retires, you and the business are in the best possible position to introduce their new Finance Director.
If you haven’t already, you’ll be exposed to:
- Consolidated Board reporting
- Monthly Board presentations inclusive of CEO and PE investors
- M&A activity under a highly acquisitive group
- A system implementation set to move the Group onto a cloud-based software
- Strategic commercial meetings with the SLT to steer an ambitious business plan
