Financial Accountant

Due to continuing success the Financial Controller has created an entirely new role for a competent finance professional who will take ownership of the accounting, reporting, and compliance for a large number of subsidiary companies within the Group.
The successful candidate will have complete autonomy to manage the accounting responsibilities for these companies from recording sales and purchase transactions right through to trial balance and full management accounts preparation. You could be qualified by experience, studying or qualified and have a practice or industry background. The most important thing is that you enjoy your work and can fulfil the following requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely maintenance of all ledgers.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, nominal ledger, supplier statements, supplier and customer accounts.
- VAT Return Submissions.
- Production of management accounts in line with timetable.
Requirements
- Experience in preparing management accounts or accounts to trial balance stage
- Strong IT Skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Strong organisational skills and timekeeping
- Ability to build good relationships with external and internal stakeholders
