Finance Manager (QBE or Qualified)

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised, energetic and resilient Finance Manager. This role will provide senior financial leadership and support directly to the Board of Directors, allow the successful candidate to obtain wide ranging executive level experience: covering both operational and commercial finance.
Responsible for overseeing the finance department on a day-to-day basis, including direct line management of a finance assistant. In addition to sales invoicing and collections, standard purchase ledger processing, your department will also process a payroll of approximately 300 (majority being hourly paid) in addition to processing weekly budgets for each of our sites and management of supplier payments.

Provide strong leadership and direction to support the Finance Team.
Prepare and provide timely, accurate management information to the Board and senior operations, providing commercial support to enable business strategy and decision-making.
Develop and sustain effective and productive relationship/partnerships with all external agencies, professional bodies and stakeholders.
Compliance with the company’s legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and responsibilities in relation to the above duties.
Awareness of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and legislation which are current and ensure that all establishments carry out duties accordingly.
Line management for finance team (2 individuals)
Collation and preparation of weekly KPIS for submission to the Board of Directors
Preparation of weekly summaries to provide directly to Managing Director.
Preparation and commentary for monthly management accounts for inclusion in the Board Pack
Preparation of detailed divisional P&Ls, attending of monthly meetings with divisional directors to discuss and review financial performance.
Liaising with our professional advisors (Top tier firm) to provide oversight of annual statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax computations preparation (with support from the businesses accountants and the Finance Director)
Cash flow monitoring and reporting to the Managing Director
Cost monitoring and control on capital investment projects
Provision of ad hoc information as required.
Key contact for our insurance broker, ensuring all new sites and vehicles are added to our policy as required, and working with the insurer to oversee any claims / potential claims.
To carry out other duties reasonably requested by the Finance Director which fall within the remit of the role and the capabilities of the post holder.
