As a group we turnover in excess of £600 million and we have a clear growth strategy for 2021 and beyond. As part of this stragegy we are now looking to hire a confident and highly competent Finance Director to lead and manage 2 of our businesses with a collective turnover of £100 million.
The role involves the management of a Finance team of 10 and you will provide the financial and commercial advice to support decision making, improve financial systems and controls for the businesses, whilst ensuring the accurate and timely production of management accounts, with M&A budgeting and treasury responsibilities.
Key Accountabilites include:
-Responsibility for the production of and the distribution of financial management information and reporting, including trading accounts, forecasting and budgets in the agreed format and to an agreed timetable.
-Responsible for the production of the financial management information and reporting and producing the annual budget, periodic forecasting and strategic planning, with regard to the relevant breakdown of cost centres.
-Responsible for the running and control of the wider admin function in the business
-Responsibility for the balance sheet controls and reconciliations.
-To provide leadership to challenge and improve the decision-making capability of the business and drive profitability.
-To drive forward the improvement of, to develop and design, and provide relevant and accurate financial management information to managers at all levels within the business.
–To provide ad hoc financial management information as requested by the business.
-To ensure the provision of support and management to the Operational Administration and support areas
-To liaise with company auditors in the preparation of the Company’s statutory accounts and tax computations
-To be able to maximise the company’s treasury function, in particular in relation to its foreign currency requirements
-To engage in some Group roles surrounding M&A. budgeting, treasury and coordinating some Group responses on the above
You should be a qualifed accountant ideally with experience of working in a fast-moving industry. You must be able to discuss matters with conviction and confidence in knowledge and technical ability. Sound interpersonal skills to deal with Senior management as well as own team is a must and you should have the ability to think logically and consider relevant aspects, with strong analytical skills.
