An opportunity to manage a Credit Control team as well as implement change and drive this company to its next phase of success and growth.
You will be instrumental in leading the team; motivating them to drive down unbilled revenue & maximise cash collection; they are a very self-sufficient team who all know what’s expected of them and don’t need micro-managing however you must be able to provide support; mentoring them and offering regular training to upskill your staff.
You won’t have your own ledger to manage yourself, but you will be the go-to person in the team for any query escalations, month-end reporting and you will have the authority to give the green light on which accounts to put on-stop / take up to legal proceedings.
It’s essential you have been a Credit Controller in the past and ideally have led a team as if you’ve done this role yourself, you will understand the importance of hitting your debtor day targets and accurately cash flow forecasting.
The Directors view this role as absolutely critical to the future success of the company and you will be invited to sit in Board Meetings as a Department Head so you must be able to provide them with a run down of how your team is performing by holding regular KPI meetings and also what debt is likely to be collected month to month in order for them to set the budget.
The business encourage development & progression which is why they are more than happy to fund the ICM Qualification; or should you be part way through this, they will take over the remainder of the payments for you.
