This business requires an individual to lead the Credit Control function – you don’t need to be a leader now; you just need to be a Credit Controller who is excited by this proposition!
The current Credit Controller is retiring – therefore the FC has a vision to revolutionise the way the credit function works and requires a Credit Controller who is looking to control every element, bringing ideas to the table, and improving efficiencies whilst still maintaining relationships with customers.
He needs someone with an appetite to deliver information to him on the status of the ledger, cash flow forecasting and debtor reporting; he wants to work directly with someone to get more from this function than simply reducing the debtor days but interrogating the data to see how this process can be streamlined.
See it as an opportunity to come into the business with a blank canvas and a fresh set of eyes rather than take over the role with absolutely no input into how processes and procedures can be “shaken up”.
A new software package has been implemented by the FC and he will need an individual to help him set up new contracts, credit checking facilities and reporting schedules onto the system; so, if you’re a Credit Controller who just wants to chase the debt and speak to customers but not be involved beyond this, that’s fine but this is perhaps not the role for you.
The business offers a hybrid working model which will be a permanent fixture; you will spend 3 days working in the office and 2 days working from home (you can choose which days would suit you best) with flexible start and finish times (log on between 8-9, log off between 4.30-5.30)
