Working for a Managing Director that is already proven in establishing and growing numerous firms you will be at the forefront of the business, controlling the finances and supporting first hand in the growth of the firm.
This role needs someone who is ambitious, and an individual that is prepared to roll their sleeves up in the short term for the rewards of growing and leading a finance team around you in the future.
This role will be exciting; the company is cash rich so instead of the usually cash flow struggles of an SME your role will be to support in ensuring the money is spent in the right places and at the right time, to optimise profits and sales.
Although there are some financial processes in place you will be able to mould these in your style, allowing you to have a real sense of ownerships of the finance function.
Using Xero your core functions will include producing the monthly management accounts (which are currently fairly basic but will evolve as the company expands, all month end accruals, prepayments and journals along with the cash flow forecasting and monthly Profit and Loss. Day to day there is Bookkeeping and ledger controls to manage – alongside daily interaction with the Managing Director.
To be considered for the rule the number one quality you will need to demonstrate is a passion for what you do. You will need previous accounts experience however this role leaves plenty of scope for development so you don’t need to be the finished article, however as a minimum you must have an understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
