This company have doubled in turnover each year and are set to reach the £100M mark by 2023; there are 4 entities within the brand and the CEO is looking for driven & determined individuals to become FC of each one.
The business is looking to invest in an individual who has accomplished transactional accounting and wants to retain this within their next role but take on additional responsibilities such as management accounts preparation and submission.
When the Head of Finance and CEO interview prospective candidates, they are looking for those who like taking ownership in their role; rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in; they want individuals to all play a part in the company’s future success, regardless of position.
The company operates within the national & global retail market so it’s extremely fast-paced and reactive therefore would suit an individual who is more than happy to be negotiating supplier costs one minute and producing sales margin reports the next; the beauty of joining the business whilst its at this stage of growth is you’ll be integral in decision making and process improvement alongside the rest of the senior team.
The CEO is more than happy to fund an accountancy qualification for an individual as she welcomes her employees to be consistently striving for personal development however if you are QBE or simply want to concentrate on your career via building experience as opposed to exams, there is absolutely no obligation to study.
This is an amazing training ground for an individual as you will be surrounded by like-minded individuals who are all striving for the same goal – to make this business as successful and profitable as possible; and managers who are more than happy to delegate work and train you in areas you want to get your teeth stuck into.
Meetings will be transparent and open; you’ll be able to have a clear vision of exactly how the company is operating financially across its various entities as you will be involved from start to finish.
The company does employ three Finance Assistants who are very self-sufficient and don’t need micro-managing however if you want to add training and development as another string to your bow, you will be encouraged to support them as and when needed.
