What an opportunity to work for one of the most flexible Directors, who allows for you to decide your start and finish time and lets his staff work from home 3-4 days a week.
This is a business that certainly puts its employees’ wellbeing above making a profit – as they believe that a happy workforce = a successful business.
You will be the sole person in transactional accounting but benefit from the support of the Office Manager who is finance-trained as well as being able to speak to the external accountants (who are based just down the road) on a monthly & quarterly basis.
You will enjoy managing the entire purchase, sales ledger and credit control function using Sage 50 – this is really the one pre-requisite that they have, that you’ve used Sage previously as unfortunately no training can be provided on this.
The business operates a work from home which all staff benefit from; it’s completely up to yourself and you can go into the office full-time if you like, however there is only an obligation to go in 1-2 days a week and you can start 8am, 8.30am or 9am – so it’s perfect if you have the school run or a doctor’s appointment early in the morning – the belief is, as long as you do the hours, you can pick and choose your start and finish times.
