SUMMARY:
My client is an established, dynamic company that specialise in helping firms to improve their energy efficiency which is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK.
This role is ideal for any Accounts Assistants that have already built up a solid foundation in accounts, but are now looking for an opportunity to broaden their skills and push forward with their accountancy qualifications.
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will receive one to one training on preparing the month end accounts, which is great if you want to challenge yourself but still feel you need the support from a senior member of the finance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with month-end processes – accruals, prepayments, journals, assisting with MA prep alongside the FC (with training)
- Processing and posting of purchase invoices and payments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Reconciliation of remittances to sales invoices
- Raising POs
- Credit control
- Use of the department’s general ledger
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Deal with client payment queries
- Using Sage Intact and Excel daily
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of basic accountancy processes
- Intermediate knowledge of the use of Microsoft excel
- Experience of inputting data accurately
- Accounting software experience an advantage, but not essential
- High level of attention to detail with an emphasis on organisation
- Positive, flexible, and efficient in the workplace
- Strong interpersonal skills (for both internal and external parties)
- Enjoys working in a team but confident being self-sufficient and working independently
