The following opportunity has become available to support a Financial Controller who started in this very role 5 years ago.
He progressed into the position he’s at now and puts his success down to the training & support he received from his manager – which is what he is looking to replicate with his next recruit.
All he is asking for is an individual who is committed & driven, who has started AAT and built-up basic accounts experience – even if it’s just 6-12 months.
He will give you the transactional finance to manage but he will always be on hand to assist – you won’t just be thrown in at the deep end and expected to get on with it.
How quickly you progress will be dictated by yourself; if it takes you just 3 months to get to grips with the processes & procedures and you want to take on month-end accounting then great, the training will be there. Equally, if you’d rather take your time to settle in and progress at your own pace, there is absolutely no pressure!
The experience you gain will go hand in hand with what you’re learning at college and the business is more than happy to fund this qualification as they see this as an investment to both you and themselves.
The FC will offer one to one sessions during the day to discuss any modules you might be struggling with or need more support with – he won’t just expect you to leave your studies at college.
You will sit amongst the customer service & marketing team so there’s a real buzz in the office; everyone helps each other out and they all love to see each other succeed in their careers.
