The position is available due to a maternity contract – the current employee in situ is coming back after 16 months however if growth & expansion plans continue for the business as they have done for the last 16 months, there is a real possibility of the role being made permanent.
If this is not the case, I guarantee the exposure you gain will be greater than a lot of permanent opportunities due to how much you involvement you’ll have with every aspect of the transactional finance.
Working for a multi-faceted company, you will enjoy full exposure to both sides of the ledger, credit control, reconciliations and payments – you won’t just be pigeon-holed and then get to the end of the 16-month contract and only being able to apply for certain jobs as your experience has been limited.
This experience will set you up perfectly for applying for other roles once the contract is up – you will have gained so much more knowledge and skills for your CV so other companies will want to snap you up!
The current employee is finishing at the end of August allowing for a solid handover period of at least 6 weeks even if you currently have a 4 week notice period.
