I am currently supporting a well-known media company based in Spinningfields now looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the team. Due to an internal promotion, this role has become available, and the business shows no signs of slowing down. This business is a massive advocate for promoting within – its focus is to ensure its top talent is retained, so will always offer opportunities internally first.
After visiting the office, it is breathtaking. With sleek modern furnishings, various breakout rooms, and even a games room there is plenty to enjoy whilst in the office. It is surrounded by some of the best bars and restaurants in Manchester if you fancy socialising after work.
For the first 6 months, you will come in and underpin the newly promoted Assistant Management Accountant, ensuring the transactional accounting is maintained as well as providing essential information to help him produce the management accounts. This is an excellent stepping stone for someone who wants to get their foot in the door with more senior duties.
After your first 6 months, there will be the opportunity to work alongside the Assistant Management Accountant. You will be fully trained and exposed to the following:
- P&L analysis
- Producing board packs with commentary
- Fixed asset register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
